John Deere Blower Assembly BM24514
The High-Performance (HP) Power Flow blower has been designed especially for the high-capacity 60-in. (152-cm) 7-Ironâ„¢ mower deck. It handles the greater capacity of these mowers and provides plenty of velocity to fill the 3-bag hopper completely.The blower is what is included as shown in the black/white image from the John Deere catalog.The other picture shows how it sits on the mower deck.
The blower housing and fan are made out of polyethylene:
- Lightweight for easy handling and minimal effect on mowing smoothness
- Will not rust or corrode
- Resists wear and abrasion caused by sand
- Contoured design for clean appearance and smooth grass flow
- Fan width of 3-3/4 in. (9.5 cm) (compared to 2-3/4 in. (7 cm) for the QT Blower for the 48C Mower) for greater capacity
The fan is driven with a V-belt from a sheave added to the top of the right mower spindle.
HP blowers are hinged from one pivoting rod that fits into the mower mounting bracket for easy installation and removal.
If the blower becomes plugged, complete cleanout is quick and easy:
- Simply unlatch the rubber strap and remove the chute.
- Lock the belt tension lever forward.
- Remove the belt from the mower sheave.
- Pivot the blower out; this position provides easy access for cleaning both the blower and the mower deck.
